Happy Birthday Jef!!

I wish we could be there celebrating with you. Another day at Disneyland would definitely be fun. I hope you have a terrific day.

No more 5:30 showers!

Yesterday, Devlin (construction worker) came and finished up the final few tasks that needed to be done in our bathrooms. This means I no longer have to be up, showered, and dressed at 5:30, and have my bed made, before I start working, so that I am ready for them when they show up. Once again I can work in my nightgown the whole darn day if I choose to. One of the things I had them do was take my 3 x 5-1/2 foot mirror that used to sit horizontal above my sinks and put it vertically at the end of the my new closet. This will be great when we go in there to try on costumes, or someday for a "man" to have a full length mirror in his closet. Now because the mirror is in there I could take a better picture of the new closet. I guess I should have cleaned off the note I wrote on the mirror telling them to save it. This picture doesn't do it justice but it really looks great in there. Now I'm wondering just how many years it will take to get everything out of my bedroom and back into my closets and bathroom where they belong.....So far I'm accomplishing about 1 item a day.

Wedding Snapshots

I thought I would share my few snapshots.
Other than at the reception when the little girls were busy "serving" it was hard to find a time when they weren't seemingly velcro'd to the newlyweds. The first 3 pictures are at the luncheon.

This picture doesn't really do it justice but notice the round hanging latterns in the background that look like floating bubbles in this picture. I should have taken another picture from the other side of the trees because I thought they looked really cool. I don't know how they hung them all like they did, it looked like a LOT of work.

Presenting....my new bathroom!

I finally have a bathroom. It is awesome. My bathroom is long and skinny so it was kind of hard to get pictures but I think the pictures below turned out pretty good. It is a little deceiving, in that the new "man's" closet is actually a 6 x 8 foot room, which is hard to tell from the picture through the doorway. It is in the space where the jacuzzi used to be through the door at the end of the bathroom. Since we have no "man" in our house, it will make a fantastic costume closet.

My bathroom has the same tile, granite, cabinets, and paint as the kids bathroom, but in their room we went with turquoise and orange towels, which makes the orange and gray tones in the granite stand out, and I went with burgundy, off white, and green in my bathroom to make the garnet specks and lighter tones in the granite pop. I love how you can change it up and get a total different look.
